The Passing of Betty Ford
On July 8th 2011, the former First Lady, Betty Ford passed on – she was 93 years old. Besides being a First Lady, she is also known for her work with the Betty Ford Center for addiction and recovery.
Born on April 8th would make her a King of Diamonds, the highest card in the Suit of values and worth, which was exemplified in her work. Her name. Betty Ford calculates out to the Jack of Hearts, known as the “Christ” card and shows her sacrifice in order to help others. Betty Ford also adds up to a 10/1 in Numerology. 10 giving her success as long as she is not selfish and controlling and the Number 1 making her a leader, or rising to a position of prominence.
In her Yearly Chart at the time of her passing she was in her 52 day Venus Period. In that position she had the 6 of Spades, one of the traditional death cards. It was displacing the Ace of Spades which was her 52 day Mercury Card, another traditional death card, causing a Mystic Reception between the 2 cards. Mystic Receptions can trigger events as it amplifies the influence of a card.
In her 91 day Seasonal Chart she was in her 13 day Mercury Period and had the King of Clubs in the Direct position with the Ace of Spades in the Vertical. The King of Clubs could have represented a person in her life and the Ace of Spades, again one of the traditional death cards. It could be she was looking forward to joining her husband, former President Gerald Ford who preceded her in death in 2006. Her Mercury Return card for that time was the 9 of Spades, the third of the 3 traditional death cards.
In her 28 day Lunar Chart she was in her 4 day Venus Period and had the Jack of Diamonds, the card of the United States (July 4th) possibly showing the warmth (Venus) towards her at her passing from the country as a whole. Her Synastry Card (the one right behind her) is the 7 of Spades which can indicate health troubles and it was also displacing the Ace of Spades, again a traditional death card. Interestingly, her Venus Card under her Planetary Sign Card was the Ace of Diamonds, the Birth Card of her husband, Gerald Ford.
In her 7 day Weekly Chart she had the Ace of Spades in Mercury right on the day she passed. Right behind her in the Synastry position was the 9 of Spades, another death card. The Ace of Spades was displacing the Ace of Diamonds, again the Card of her husband, Gerald Ford. Being born on a Number 8 day gives her a strong Saturn influence as 8 is the Number of Saturn. She also passed on a Number 8 day. With the Weekly Chart being a Season of the Lunar Chart, it makes the relationship between the two charts more important. With such a strong Saturn influence in the Weekly Chart on the day she passed on, it may have well triggered the influence of the Saturn Card in the Lunar Chart, which was the Ace of Spades displacing the 9 of Spades.
Betty Ford will be remembered for her great work in helping others in the area of addiction and recovery and as a great First Lady. It is obvious in the cards, her time to move on had come.
